Valtteri Bottas Jets into Cape Town After Difficult Chinese Grand Prix

After a challenging Chinese Grand Prix weekend, Formula One driver Valtteri Bottas has traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, for a brief stay. On Monday evening, Bottas, who competes for the Alfa Romeo F1 team, posted two photos on social media capturing the stunning Cape Town sunset.

Bottas experienced car issues during Sunday’s race at the Shanghai International Circuit, forcing him to retire on the 20th lap. The 34-year-old has had a rough start to the F1 season, currently sitting 20th in the driver standings after five races without earning a single point.

Prior to the Chinese GP, Bottas finished in the lower ranks in the first four races of the season: 19th in Bahrain, 17th in Saudi Arabia, 14th in Australia, and 14th in Japan.

The next race on the F1 calendar is the Miami Grand Prix scheduled for May 5.
