Lal Krishna Advani, a veteran leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a prominent figure in Indian politics, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday. Advani’s political career spans decades, with him serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of India during the tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was instrumental in the formation of the BJP, joining forces with Atal Bihari Vajpayee and other members of the Jana Sangh after leaving the party in 1980. Advani contested his first Lok Sabha election in 1989 from the New Delhi seat, marking the beginning of his long and distinguished political journey.
