Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s ‘The Family Star’ is all set for its OTT premiere. The family drama, written and directed by Parasuram, will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting April 26. The Telugu version, along with the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada dubbed versions, will be available for streaming on Prime Video.
‘The Family Star’ released in theatres on April 5 amid massive expectations. However, the film received a lukewarm response from the critics and audiences alike. In a statement, Vijay Deverakonda spoke about his character, Govardhan, and what the film is all about. He said, “Playing Govardhan in The Family Star was a deeply rewarding experience. He is your ideal yet real hero, someone who shoulders the responsibility of his entire family without complaining or seeking recognition for the personal sacrifices he makes. His journey reflects the everyday struggles and triumphs of the middle class, which will resonate with audiences across cultures.”

‘The Family Star’ marks the first collaboration of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. The film is produced by K. S. Rama Rao, and the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
