Vistara Flight Receives Bomb Threat, Passengers Safely Disembarked in Mumbai

A Vistara flight operating from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai faced a security scare on Friday, June 28, 2024, when a bomb threat was received. Upon discovering a note stating ‘bomb on board,’ a crew member immediately contacted the authorities, triggering a swift response.

The airline, following standard protocol, promptly alerted the police and relevant security agencies. The aircraft was then directed to an isolation bay at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai upon landing. All passengers were safely evacuated without any reported injuries or harm.

The police have registered a case under sections 304A/337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and initiated an investigation into the incident.
