Voltas CEO Pradeep Bakshi’s Remuneration and Contributions Revealed

Pradeep Bakshi has been a driving force behind the success of Voltas Limited, a prominent Tata Group company, since assuming the role of Managing Director and CEO in 2018. With almost three decades of experience in the consumer durable industry, Bakshi’s leadership has been instrumental in steering the company towards sustained growth and profitability.

A graduate of the University of Delhi, Bakshi joined Voltas in 2001, bringing with him valuable experience from his previous role as senior manager at Electrolux Kelvinator. His career at Voltas has been marked by a series of senior leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as head of the air cooling products business. Under his leadership, this division experienced a significant surge in revenues and profitability.

Voltas Limited, an Indian multinational home appliances firm headquartered in Mumbai, was established in 1954 through a joint venture between Tata Sons and Volkart Brothers. The company boasts a market capitalization of Rs 49,585 crore as of June 15, 2024.

Bakshi’s annual remuneration, as detailed in Voltas’ annual report for the fiscal year ending March 2024, reached Rs 7.21 crore in FY24. This included a salary of Rs 1.25 crore, perquisites and allowances (including retirement benefits) amounting to Rs 2.90 crore, and commissions worth Rs 3.06 crore, which are set to be paid in FY25.

In addition to his role at Voltas, Bakshi serves on the Board of Directors for Voltbek Home Appliances Ltd. During his 12-year tenure as Head of Operations of UPBG, he has established himself as a versatile and talented executive, solidifying his reputation as a leader who can navigate complex business challenges.

Bakshi’s contributions to the company have garnered him significant recognition, including the prestigious title of Appliances Man of the Year in 2013 and the President’s Award for Energy Conservation. These accolades highlight his commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability within the consumer durables sector.
