Voorhees Man Arrested for Vehicular Homicide in Crash that Killed Social Worker

A 30-year-old Voorhees man has been arrested and charged with second-degree vehicular homicide in connection with a fatal crash that killed a 29-year-old Clementon woman on April 3. The victim, identified as Karina Castillo, was a beloved state social worker and new mother who was struck and killed by the suspect, identified as Stephen Sirch, while driving her Honda Civic on the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township. Castillo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found that on April 3 after 2 p.m., Sirch was speeding in a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox westbound along the Black Horse Pike, when his SUV struck a 2011 Honda Civic, driven by Castillo.
