Wallington’s Delilah Tabaka has cemented her place in New Jersey softball history by becoming the tenth pitcher to reach the coveted 600 strikeout mark. This remarkable achievement was accomplished in a decisive 17-0 victory over Secacus, where Tabaka showcased her exceptional pitching skills.
Throughout the four-inning game, Tabaka allowed only two hits and struck out six batters while maintaining a flawless walk record. Her dominance on the mound was matched by her offensive contributions, as she doubled, scored three runs, and drove in two more for Wallington.
This triumph marked Wallington’s seventh consecutive victory, solidifying their position as a formidable force in New Jersey softball. Anna Zielonka contributed significantly to the team’s success, finishing 3-for-4 with four runs scored. Gabrielle Deyne and Vanessa Nazario also made valuable contributions with two RBIs each, while Brooke Goldyn added three runs to Wallington’s tally.
