WB HS Class 12th Result 2024 Announced: 90% Pass Rate, Toppers, and Performance Highlights

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has declared the results for the WB Board class 12 exams 2024. The results were announced during a press conference held at 1 PM today. Students can access their results through the official results portal at wbresults.nic.in, where the link will be activated at 3 PM. Additionally, students will be able to check their results on the Times of India website once the Council releases them later today at 3 PM. This year, the examinations took place between February 16 and 29. Notable, the results were published within 69 days after the conclusion of the exams. A significant number of 7,55,324 candidates appeared for the exams, out of which 6,79,784 have successfully cleared them.

Along with the announcement of results, the WBCHSE provided significant insights into student performance, revealing an impressive total pass rate of 90%. According to the Board’s data, 40.925% of the 7.5 lakh students scored above 60%, with 22.38% scoring above 70%. 8.47% of students received grades higher than 80%, while 1.23% received grades of 90%. The pass percentage among minority students is 86.97%.

Avik Das of William Higher Secondary School in Alipurduar took first place with 496 points, resulting in an impressive percentage of 99.2%. Soumyodeep Saha from RKM Narendrapur came in second place, scoring 498 marks, which translates to a remarkable 99%. Abhishek Gupta from RKM Vivekananda Vidyamandir took third place with a score of 494, earning an impressive 98.8%.

No cases of paper leaks or malpractices were reported during the Class 12 final exams. However, 41 cases of candidates carrying mobile phones were registered, resulting in the rejection of their candidature, the Board informed during the press conference.
