Wegmans Food Markets has been a popular grocery store chain since its inception in 1916. With over 100 stores in seven states, Wegmans employs over 50,000 employees. The company has a strong presence in New York State, with nearly 50 stores across the state.
Wegmans has been the site of numerous lottery wins in recent years, including a $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold at the West Seneca store on Saturday night. The winning numbers for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing were 01, 12, 14, 18, 66, with a Mega Ball of 16.
As of this writing, the winner of the $1 million ticket has not come forward. The winner has one year to claim their prize.
Wegmans has been recognized for its success, being named the third-best company to work for by Fortune magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022. This year marks Wegmans’ 25th consecutive year on the list.
