WeightWatchers Diet: Real Food, Real Results, and a Glass of Wine

A TikToker, known as ‘ww_weighting,’ has taken the internet by storm with her impressive weight loss journey. She’s managed to shed an incredible 40kg (or six stone) using the WeightWatchers diet plan – and the best part? She hasn’t had to completely give up on her favorite treats like chocolate buttons and red wine!

In a recent video, she shared a typical day of eating, emphasizing that she’s embracing real food and portion control. “Even though I’m taking a refreshed approach to my weight loss journey because I’m currently in a plateau, does not mean that I have done anything to the extreme,” she explains. “I’m not starving myself and I’m also not flogging myself with exercise – so let’s go!”

The key to her success lies in WeightWatchers’ point tracking system. This clever system takes the complex nutritional information on food packaging and simplifies it into a single number. High-fiber, protein-rich foods, and unsaturated fats lower the point value, while sugars and saturated fats increase it.

Each WeightWatchers member receives a personalized daily Points Budget, and sticking to it is key to losing 1-2 pounds per week. Progress is tracked through the easy-to-use WeightWatchers app, making it simple to stay on top of your goals.

Let’s dive into a typical day on her WeightWatchers diet:

*

Morning:

It starts with a cup of coffee – French vanilla syrup and skimmed milk – adding just one point to her total. Two slices of wholemeal sourdough bread with butter and chicken come in at a total of seven points. She also enjoys incorporating fruit into her meals, like a point-free pineapple snack.
*

Lunch:

“Then because I’m going out and I’m leaving early I decided to have dinner for lunch,” she explains. Her lunch consists of a stack of vegetables (no points), Korean hot chilli paste (one point), soy sauce, and chicken breast cooked in the chilli paste. This delicious meal adds just one point to her day.
*

Evening:

While she didn’t have a formal dinner, she indulged in a few treats, including two glasses of red wine (six points per glass). She later shared some chocolate buttons with a friend while watching a movie, adding 28 points to her total.

Despite enjoying these treats, she emphasizes the benefits of her weight loss journey, saying she no longer feels the need to cover up and feels more comfortable in public spaces. “I was so conscious about being in my bigger body and taking up too much space,” she shares. “Kind of infringing on the space of the person sitting beside me to the point where I would completely contort myself to not take up too much space. Like, seriously to the extent of giving myself back pain or cramp because I’m so contorted. But now I just sit in my seat, get comfortable and there’s no headspace going towards ‘how does the person feel beside me?’”

Her story reminds us that a healthy diet doesn’t have to be restrictive or bland. By utilizing the WeightWatchers system, she’s found a balanced way to enjoy her favorite foods while still reaching her weight loss goals. If you’re looking for a flexible, sustainable approach to weight loss, her journey may just inspire you to give WeightWatchers a try!
