The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has declared the results of the Madhyamik (Class 10) examination for the year 2024. Students who have appeared for the exam can now check and download their scorecards from the official website of WBBSE at wbbse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in. The exams were conducted from February 2 to February 12, 2024, from 09:45 AM to 01:00 PM. The overall pass percentage this year stands at 86.31%. A total of 9,23,013 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, out of which 7.65 lakh have passed. The WB Class 10 result merit list comprises 57 students, with Chandrachur Sen securing the top rank with 693 marks (99%). Shyamapriya Guru follows closely in second place with 692 marks (98.86%), while the third position is shared by three candidates with 691 marks each. Students can download their results from the official websites of WBBSE by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit wbbse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in
Step 2: Locate the link to “Class 10 Exam Results 2024” on the homepage
Step 3: Enter your login credentials, including your Roll Number
Step 4: Your WB Class 10 Scorecard 2024 will appear on the screen
Step 5: Save the result page by downloading it and consider printing a hard copy for your records. Alternatively, students can also access their results through a direct link: https://wbresults.nic.in/wbresults/madhyamik/mad24/index.php Students can collect provisional mark sheets from the official websites, but hard copies of final mark sheets will be distributed by respective schools in due course. In comparison to previous years, last year’s results were announced on May 19, 2023, with an overall pass percentage of 86.15%. In 2022, the pass percentage was recorded at 86.60%. The number of students registered for the WB Madhyamik exams in 2023 was 6,98,628, while in 2022 it was 10,98,775.
