West Ham Eye Lopetegui and Amorim as Moyes’ Replacement

West Ham United has initiated discussions with former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Julen Lopetegui and Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim as potential successors to David Moyes. Moyes’ contract expires in the summer, and the Hammers are considering their options for the future. Amorim, who has been linked to Liverpool, met with West Ham officials in London but has yet to make a decision. West Ham chairman David Sullivan will weigh the options before offering Moyes a new deal. Initial plans for a contract extension were shelved due to a dip in form. Director of football Tim Steidten has explored various options, including Lille manager Paulo Fonseca and former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick. Lopetegui, out of work since his departure from Wolves, has attended West Ham and Crystal Palace matches as he seeks a return to English football. West Ham currently sits eighth in the Premier League, while Crystal Palace is comfortably clear of the relegation zone.
