Wetherspoon, known for its affordable prices and extensive drink selection, is making some changes to its menu this month by discontinuing 18 drinks. Some of these drinks will remain available until stocks run out, but once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Among the casualties is Lamb’s Navy Rum, a favorite among rum enthusiasts since its creation in 1849. Other spirits being discontinued include Bombay Bramble, Gordons Sicilian Lemon, Duppy Share White, Chase pink grapefruit pomelo gin, and Buffalo Trace. The cocktail menu is also undergoing changes, with Tanqueray Spritz, Bubblegin, Bubblegin syrup, and Smirnoff and Monster pitcher all being removed. The latter will now only be available as a spirit and mixer. Two Corona seltzers – Tropical Raspberry and Tropical Guava – are also being axed, along with the Manquila shooter and four regional craft drinks: Williams Bros Tin Man, Inniss and Gunn Mangoes on the Run, Backyard 3 States, and Rooster’s Baby Faced Assassin. In terms of soft drinks, only one is being discontinued: Dalstons Rhubarb will no longer be available. The list of new additions includes a variety of bottled beers, spirits, and low or non-alcoholic options. The bottled menu will now feature the Mexican pilsner-style beer Pacifico and Stella Unfiltered. Gallo White Zinfandel rose wine will be available, and spirits will include Au Vodka Strawberry Burst and Kraken Black Cherry and Madagascan Vanilla. For those who enjoy shooters, there are two new choices – Tequila Rose, the original strawberry cream liqueur is being reintroduced to replace Manquila, and Strawberries and Cream, which is a double shot – Tequila Rose topped with Mozart White Chocolate cream liqueur. New in the soft drinks category is Monster Energy Peachy Keen, while Thatchers Zero, Corona Cero, and Passion Fruit Cooler are the new low and no-alcohol additions. These beverages are available now – with the ones being discontinued removed from the menu from that date. However, many pubs will still have remaining stock, which will be available until it runs out.
