Universal Pictures’ Adaptation of ‘Wicked’ Unveils Enchanting Trailer
Universal Pictures has finally released the official trailer for its long-awaited adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical, ‘Wicked.’ The highly anticipated film stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman with emerald-green skin who embarks on a journey of self-discovery at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. Along the way, she encounters the popular and bubbly Glinda, portrayed by pop sensation Ariana Grande.
The trailer tantalizingly showcases the unlikely friendship that blossoms between Elphaba and Glinda, as they navigate the complexities of their own identities and the societal expectations placed upon them. As their bond deepens, they cross paths with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, an encounter that sets them on a transformative path towards becoming the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, respectively.
