Wildfire in Northeastern Alberta Under Control

Fire crews worked diligently to contain and control a wildfire that emerged in northeastern Alberta, southwest of Fort McMurray. The blaze, which initially covered 12 hectares, swiftly expanded to 34 hectares before the arrival of crews, air tankers, and a night-vision helicopter. Despite the visible presence of smoke, no communities were impacted by the wildfire. This incident occurred just hours after Alberta Wildfire officials had reported that the province was free of uncontrolled wildfires, underscoring the need for continuous monitoring of conditions during wildfire season.
