The fifth day of Wimbledon 2024 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) in London saw several exciting matches unfold in both men’s and women’s singles. Defending champion and third seed Carlos Alcaraz faced a tough challenge in the third round against 29th-seeded American Frances Tiafoe. The day also saw victories for Jan-Lennard Struff (GER) over Daniil Medvedev (RUS), Denis Shapovalov (CAN) over Ben Shelton (USA), and Brandon Nakashima (USA) over Ugo Humbert (KAZ). In women’s singles, Madison Keys (USA) defeated Marta Kostyuk (UKR), Emma Navarro (USA) triumphed over Diana Shnaider, and Lulu Sun (NZL) secured a win against Lin Zhu (CHN).
