Jimmy Choo has announced Winona Ryder as the face of its Autumn 2024 collection, aptly titled “Glamour Refined.” The campaign, shot and directed by Parisian art director Ezra Petronio, pays homage to Winona’s enduring iconic status, channeling the simple style and cultural zeitgeist of the late 1990s.
Known for her roles in films like “Edward Scissorhands,” “Reality Bites,” “Black Swan,” and Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things,” Winona Ryder is an Academy Award-nominated actress who brings unparalleled charisma and depth to the campaign. Her confident presence and captivating charm draw viewers into her world.
Creative Director Sandra Choi commented on Winona’s appeal, stating, “Winona is truly an icon. We are from the same generation, and in the 1990s, we were both in our early twenties. Her style and films represent the decade in which Jimmy Choo was born and shaped. Her talent and personality are perfect for representing this collection.”
The campaign visuals feature Winona holding the new “Diamond Tote” bag, available in various sizes. Inspired by Jimmy Choo’s signature diamond facets, the bag boasts a luxurious calf leather construction with a relaxed, yet effortlessly chic design. A hidden inner strap allows for adjusting the shape, offering two distinct looks.
Another notable piece showcased is the “Brooklyn” biker boot. Drawing inspiration from biker jackets, it features silver back zips and diamond buckle detailing. Available in both long and short styles, these boots allow for personalization based on individual preferences.
