Woman Arrested for Attempted Homicide After Running Car into Five People in Philadelphia

A woman from Northeast Philadelphia named Omobolanle Paige has been arrested and charged with attempted homicide for allegedly running her car into five people outside a ShopRite grocery store. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on Monday when Paige, who was driving a silver 2015 Nissan Sentra, struck four women and a man in the parking lot of the grocery store located in the 6300 block of Oxford Avenue. Four of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including bruises and scratches. Three of them had to be hospitalized but the fourth woman and a 74-year-old male were treated at the scene. Paige was arrested at the scene and formally charged on Tuesday. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Friday. The victims were all taken to local hospitals for treatment. According to NBC Philadelphia, the female victims were ages 29, 45, 57 and 76. The male victim was 74 years old. Paige is facing multiple charges, including attempted homicide and aggravated assault. The investigation is ongoing.
