The first season of the Korean thriller-drama series ‘Wonderful World’ consists of a yet-to-be-determined number of episodes. New episodes will be released on a weekly basis, with the first episode premiering on August 5, 2023.
The series follows Eun Soo-hyeon (Kim Nam-ju), a successful psychology professor and writer who lives a comfortable and happy life with her son. However, her life takes a tragic turn when her son is killed in a hit-and-run accident.
In the aftermath of her son’s death, Eun Soo-hyeon is determined to find the person responsible and bring them to justice. She soon realizes that the case is more complicated than it seems, and she must navigate a web of corruption and deceit.
Along the way, Eun Soo-hyeon meets Kwon Seon-Yool (Cha Eun Woo), a young prosecutor who is assigned to her son’s case. Seon-Yool is initially skeptical of Eun Soo-hyeon’s claims, but he eventually comes to believe her and helps her in her quest for justice.
The cast of ‘Wonderful World’ also includes Won Hee-lee as Prosecutor Lee, Park Won-sang as Detective Choi, and Kim Tae-hoon as Reporter Park. The series is directed by Lee Seun-young and written by Kim Ji-eun.
