WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso Sidelined with undisclosed Injury

WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso is set for a spell on the sidelines as he is out with an undisclosed injury. The decorated tag team champion hasn’t been seen on screen since he was laid out by real-life brother Solo Sikoa and the latter’s new ally Tama Tonga on SmackDown two weeks ago.

Now, it has emerged that he won’t be included in the upcoming WWE Draft, which will see wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown and NXT switching brands to give the rosters a post-WrestleMania shakeup. The company has revealed the superstars eligible for the draft – which kicks off on Friday and concludes on Monday – but Jimmy wasn’t featured in the breakdown.

As reported by Fightful Select, the nature of the injury is ‘undisclosed’ at this time, and there are no details regarding a return date, but it’s severe enough to keep him out of the draft pool.

Jimmy’s injury comes as a number of major names are also suffering, as Dominik Mysterio appeared in a sling on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw as a result of a legitimate injury. Just last week, Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship – which she had held since last year’s WrestleMania – after suffering a shoulder injury in a backstage skit with Liv Morgan. She will be missing for several months, and on Monday Becky Lynch was crowned the new champion after a dramatic Battle Royal which saw Liv and Nia Jax reach the final three.

Elsewhere, Becky has confirmed her real-life husband Seth Rollins had to undergo knee surgery last week and he had been in matches both nights of WrestleMania despite dealing with an injury. In January, Seth fought back tears as he addressed the crowd one week after suffering a Grade 2 MCL tear and partially torn medial meniscus in his left knee. The injury came against former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal – who, in an unrelated move, has been released amid widespread roster cuts – when he hit a Moonsault from the top rope.

Last week, Becky told RTE’s Late Late Show: “So, he just got surgery on Tuesday. So he had knee surgery, he tore his meniscus a little while before WrestleMania. And so his rehab, I suppose, is running after a little three-year-old now. That’ll be great for his knee surgery!’

Drew McIntyre is also said to be working through an injury at the moment, and his rival CM Punk is recovering after a painful tricep tear during his in-ring comeback at the Royal Rumble in January. Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, Cruz Del Toro, Cora Jade, Nikkita Lyons, Wes Lee, and more are all on the sidelines.
