Elon Musk’s social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, will host a town hall with Donald Trump. The Republican presidential candidate was recently found guilty of illegally influencing the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor. No specific date has been set for the event, which may also include independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy. Musk confirmed the information by responding ‘This will be interesting’ to a New York Post article about X hosting a town hall with Trump. Musk, who has previously voted for both Republicans and Democrats, has intensified his criticism of the Biden administration in recent days while strengthening his ties with Trump. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, if Trump wins the upcoming presidential election, he may appoint Musk to a position in the White House.
Musk Defends Trump’s Guilty Verdict: In response to Trump’s guilty verdict in the hush money case, Musk stated, ‘Indeed, today’s verdict has severely damaged the public’s trust in the American legal system.’ The billionaire added, ‘If a former president can be criminally convicted for such a trivial matter, fueled by politics rather than justice, then anyone is vulnerable to a similar fate.’ Trump was convicted on 34 criminal charges related to falsifying documents to conceal a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, allegedly intended to influence the 2016 election, in which he defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton. Despite this conviction, Trump faces three additional criminal prosecutions, including two related to his efforts to overturn his defeat by Biden in the 2020 election. However, the New York verdict may be the only one delivered before Americans vote, as other cases have been delayed due to legal complexities. Trump maintains his innocence, dismissing all four cases as ‘politically motivated’.
