Yogi Adityanath Accuses Congress of Pushing ‘Sharia Law’ and Redistributing Wealth in India
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of attempting to implement ‘Sharia law’ and redistribute wealth in India. The CM made these allegations while addressing election rallies in Amroha and Baghpat on Tuesday.
Adityanath claimed that the Congress’s manifesto includes provisions for implementing personal law, which he equates to Sharia law. He asserted that this move poses a grave threat to the Indian Constitution, which was drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The CM also referred to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s alleged statement in 2006 that Muslims have the first right to the country’s resources. Adityanath questioned where Dalits, backward classes, and other marginalized communities would stand if such a policy were implemented.
Furthermore, Adityanath accused the Congress of planning to identify and confiscate people’s hard-earned wealth and redistribute it among others. He contrasted this with the Modi government’s policies, which he claimed provide facilities and development to people without discrimination.
The CM highlighted the upcoming Ganga Expressway project as an example of the Modi government’s commitment to infrastructure development. He stated that the expressway would significantly reduce travel time between Amroha and major cities like Delhi, Lucknow, and Prayagraj.
Adityanath also criticized the Congress and Samajwadi Party for allegedly neglecting terrorism and withdrawing cases against those involved in attacks on religious sites. He claimed that only a few families, including the Gandhis and Yadavs, have enjoyed access to resources under these parties’ rule.
In Amroha, the CM specifically targeted Danish Ali, the sitting MP from the INDIA bloc.
Adityanath’s allegations come amid heated campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party has not yet responded to the CM’s accusations.
