Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a swing at the bat during the inauguration ceremony of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament in Lucknow, demonstrating his support for sports. He highlighted the growth of sporting activities in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, referencing the ‘Fit India Movement’ and ‘MP Sports Competition’ as examples. CM Yogi expressed his best wishes to all the participating teams.
While enjoying a playful moment on the field, CM Yogi also focused on a much larger event, the Maha Kumbh. He chaired a review meeting to assess preparations for the religious festival, which is scheduled to take place in Prayagraj from January 14 to February 26, 2025. The upcoming event promises to be grander than the 2013 Maha Kumbh, with over double the area dedicated to the festivities. CM Yogi emphasized that work for the Maha Kumbh is progressing at a rapid pace, with a target set to complete all construction by December 15.
To ensure a seamless experience for the devotees, the UP government is implementing comprehensive plans. These include running over 7,000 shuttle and electric buses, deploying drones for security, and enhancing the sewage system to prevent any discharge into the Ganga River. CM Yogi, emphasizing the importance of creating a beautiful and grand environment, also released the logo for the Maha Kumbh. The event is anticipated to be a major draw for pilgrims and tourists, with the UP government leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a successful and memorable experience.
