Loyal watchers of “The Young and the Restless” know that Colleen Zenk’s portrayal of Jordan has been a wild ride. She’s tormented Nikki into relapsing, burned down Victoria’s home, escaped custody countless times, and in what may be her final act of villainy, kidnapped Harrison and Lucy. Her desperate actions have sent the Abbotts and Newmans into a frenzy of panic and rage. Allison Lanier, as Phyllis, has become unhinged, lashing out at everyone, while Victoria has shed tears over her daughter’s second kidnapping by Jordan, finding herself defending Claire as an innocent victim. Nikki, guilt-ridden, believes Jordan wouldn’t have taken her grandchildren if she had let Jordan die instead of calling 911 weeks ago. In episodes airing during the week of April 22, Nikki confronts Jordan alone in an alley. Knowing that Victor wouldn’t approve, she keeps her plans a secret from her husband. However, when Jordan arrives at the alley in the episode airing on April 24, she finds not Nikki but Victor, who sneaks up behind her and uses chloroform to knock her out. As for Jordan’s victims, Kyle, played by Michael Mealor, finds a lead on the car Jordan has been using. He uses his detective skills to locate the room where Harrison is being held. When Kyle hears Harrison’s voice from outside the door, he tells his son to get back, then kicks down the door, finding a joyful Harrison. The capture of Jordan and the rescue of Harrison should be a joyous occasion, but it’s not complete. Claire’s whereabouts remain unknown, leaving Victoria, J. Eddie Peck as Billy, and the rest of the Newmans in anguish. Kyle is likely to be devastated by Claire’s disappearance. Harrison will probably reveal that Claire had nothing to do with the kidnapping and may have even tried to protect him. The bond Kyle had been building with Claire and the guilt he feels for suspecting her involvement may drive him to search for her as diligently as her parents. Jordan still has leverage to save her life. The Newmans may hesitate to take drastic measures as she’s the only one who knows Claire’s location. However, a drunken Nikki might act out of frustration and kill Jordan before the family gets the answers they seek, potentially igniting a new storm. Stay tuned as the Jordan saga continues on “The Young and the Restless”.
