The much-awaited action thriller ‘Yudhra’, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal, had a strong opening on September 21st, pulling in an estimated ₹ 4.5 crore net in India. The film benefited from being released on National Cinema Day, leading to high audience turnout. However, the second-day collection saw a significant drop, reaching an estimated ₹ 1.45 crore, a 67.11 per cent decrease despite the weekend. Despite the dip, the film’s overall performance is promising, with a total estimated earning of ₹ 5.98 crore in its first two days.
‘Yudhra’ has garnered interest from audiences who enjoyed the action-packed film ‘Kill’, making the anticipation for Siddhant Chaturvedi’s first solo hero action film palpable. The film’s occupancy on its second day, Saturday, September 21st, reached 11.40 per cent across Hindi 2D screenings. The morning shows saw a 6.11 per cent occupancy, while the afternoon shows reached 11.95 per cent. The evening shows registered a 10.84 per cent occupancy, with the highest occupancy observed in the night shows, reaching 16.70 per cent.
The film ‘Yudhra’, directed by Ravi Udyawar, was produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment. The film features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal in key roles, with Malavika Mohanan playing a crucial part. Siddhant Chaturvedi, known for his role as MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, is set to be seen in his first solo hero action film. The actor is currently busy with his upcoming project ‘Dhadak 2’, a sequel to the 2018 romantic drama that was a Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’. The upcoming ‘Dhadak 2’, directed by Shazia Iqbal, also stars Triptii Dimri. The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.
