Zach Wilson has found a new home in Denver.
The Broncos have agreed to acquire Wilson from the Jets in exchange for a sixth-round pick (No. 203) and a seventh-round pick (No. 256). The Jets will also pay a portion of Wilson’s salary, who is due to make $5.5 million in 2024.
Wilson, 24, requested a trade from the Jets this offseason after the team acquired Aaron Rodgers last year. Despite the addition of Rodgers, Wilson started 11 games for the Jets last season, completing 60.1 percent of his passes for 2,271 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
In 34 career games with 33 starts, Wilson has completed 57 percent of his passes for 6,293 yards with 23 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
Wilson now joins a Broncos quarterback room that includes Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci. Denver also holds the No. 12 overall pick in this week’s draft and could add another quarterback to the mix.
