GPU vendor Zephyr has pulled off the seemingly impossible: a dual-slot RTX 4070 graphics card with a single fan. The RTX 4070, a top-tier graphics card, already has several slim models available, but Zephyr’s new ITX Sakura Blizzard pushes the boundaries of size even further. Zephyr unveiled this compact marvel on the Chinese video streaming platform BiliBili over the weekend. With dimensions of 172mm by 123mm by 42mm, the card is remarkably small, fitting comfortably even in the tiniest mini ITX cases (though checking case dimensions is always recommended). To put its size in perspective, Nvidia’s Founder’s Edition RTX 4070 measures 240mm by 110mm by 40mm, and third-party options can be considerably larger depending on their cooling system. The real highlight of the RTX 4070 ITX Sakura Blizzard is its length. Utilizing a single fan, it’s noticeably shorter than the dual and triple-fan designs commonly seen with the RTX 4070. While it’s slightly taller and wider than the Founder’s Edition, this difference accommodates a larger cooling solution that, according to Zephyr, surpasses conventional designs. The company claims the card maintains a temperature advantage of 8 degrees Celsius over standard dual-fan RTX 4070 configurations, all while running at lower fan speeds. Performance is not compromised either, according to Zephyr. They have provided 3DMark Fire Strike, Time Spy, and Speed Way benchmarks demonstrating that the RTX 4070 ITX Sakura Bloom matches the performance of a Founder’s Edition card. Zephyr is known for its daring designs, often featuring pink PCBs, colorful cooling shrouds, and anime characters. The RTX 4070 ITX Sakura Blizzard continues this trend. It’s actually the third model in Nvidia’s RTX 40-series to receive this treatment, following the ITX versions of the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti. However, potential buyers will face some challenges. Zephyr reports that the first batch of cards has already sold out, though a restock is anticipated in mid-July. More importantly, these cards are currently only available in China. While you might find models from Chinese sellers on eBay in the U.S., expect to pay a premium.
