The company has delivered the first unit of its fully autonomous skid-mounted hydrogen refueling station to China Huadian Corporation Ltd., a major state-owned power company, for their hydrogen heavy truck project in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The newly deployed hydrogen refueling station features impressive capabilities, boasting large displacement, low energy consumption, and ease of maintenance. It can achieve a hydrogen displacement of up to 1,000Nm3/h with an integrated energy consumption of less than 0.8kWh/kg. This high efficiency is attributed to Zoomlion’s cutting-edge hydrogen compressor, the core component of the refueling station. Developed leveraging the company’s expertise in hydraulics and advanced manufacturing processes, the hydrogen compressor is a third-generation iteration that achieves high-pressure, high-temperature, oil-free lubrication of cylinder pistons, as well as two-stage frequency boosting. This innovative design seamlessly integrates the hydrogen refueling ecosystem chain, encompassing the skid station, compressor, and liquid drive pump.
Zoomlion’s commitment to advancing independent research and development in new energy core components has yielded significant breakthroughs in lithium battery and hydrogen fuel technologies. This focus ensures comprehensive integration across all aspects of the production chain, from spare parts to whole vehicles, and from hardware to software. In terms of core components for hydrogen energy products, Zoomlion has developed a complete whole-chain solution that covers hydrogen refueling, storage, transportation, combustion, power, and vehicle. Further showcasing Zoomlion’s technological prowess, the company has developed China’s first 45MPa hydrogen liquid drive piston compressor, boasting complete intellectual property rights. In addition, Zoomlion has developed two heavy-duty chassis for pure electric and hydrogen power. The hydrogen fuel chassis is equipped with the company’s self-developed fuel cell system, on-board hydrogen storage system, and more. Notably, over 80 percent of the new energy core components in these vehicles are independently developed by Zoomlion.
