Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana: Your One-Stop Shop
The Zurich Classic returns to New Orleans for its annual tournament, featuring an 80-team field competing in match-play formats. This event offers players a unique opportunity to earn points while playing with a teammate and is the only one on the regular season schedule that is not stroke play.
The tournament will employ both Four-ball and Foursome formats, with the duos playing Four-ball (better ball) on Thursday and Saturday and alternate shot formats on Friday and Sunday. There will be a cut after 36 holes.
This year’s Zurich Classic has some incredible teams competing in the Big Easy. From players who have been here for years to first-timers, this field should bring plenty of entertainment.
One of the biggest pairings to make their debut is the Irish duo of Pádraig Harrington and Shane Lowry. The two will look to cause some havoc as they channel their inner Ryder Cup mentality.
The 2022 winners, Sam Burns and Billy Horschel, are back and ready to take home another title after they came up short last year with a T4 finish. They will be the team to beat this week.
Last year’s champions, Davis Riley and Nick Hardy, are back to defend their title. Brothers love to play in this event, and at least three sets of siblings are competing in New Orleans.
Other notable pairings include Matt Kuchar and Steve Stricker, Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and one of his assistant captains, Francesco Molinari, Keith Mitchell and Joel Dahmen, the all-Canadian team of Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith, and Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris.
Don’t miss the action as some of the biggest names in golf showcase their skills in the Big Easy. The Zurich Classic promises to be an exciting and entertaining tournament.
