According to a recent announcement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is considering revising the grace marks awarded to candidates who appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Director General of NTA, Subodh Singh, disclosed this information, emphasizing that the revision will not interfere with the ongoing admission process for higher education institutions. The decision to award grace marks to NEET candidates was made to compensate for potential errors or ambiguities in the question paper. However, the NTA has since received feedback indicating that some candidates may have benefited unfairly from the grace marks. As a result, the agency is reviewing the matter and may make necessary adjustments to ensure fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process. The NTA’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the NEET examination and ensuring a fair and transparent admission process remains paramount throughout this review.
