Late-Night Hosts’ Meltdown: Gutfeld Exposes the Media’s ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’

The airwaves buzzed with a palpable sense of dread last night as late-night hosts, seemingly caught off guard by President Trump’s re-election, unleashed a torrent of despair and angst upon their viewers. Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld, however, wasn’t buying it. In a scathing segment on his show ‘Gutfeld!’, he dissected the theatrics of Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Seth Meyers, arguing that their dramatic reactions were a symptom of what he called ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome.’

‘So, a Republican has won an election,’ Gutfeld quipped, ‘and you know what that means. Jimmy Carter has to stay alive for four more years. It’s also time for liberals to tell themselves that they’re still right about everything and their hysteria and delusions of persecution are perfectly normal.’

Gutfeld zeroed in on Kimmel’s ‘terrible night’ lament, which included everything from women’s rights to climate change. ‘It was a terrible night for the hundreds of thousands of hardworking immigrants who make this country go…for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth. And democracy and decency,’ Kimmel cried. Gutfeld’s response was a sarcastic, ‘You just don’t realize it yet.’

He argued that Kimmel’s pronouncements were not only self-serving, but also a reflection of the media’s relentless negativity. ‘You know what?’ Gutfeld said, mimicking Kimmel, ‘If I ever cry on TV, it’ll be because Maroon 5 put out a new song. But that’s it ya big

.’ He mocked Kimmel’s self-importance, noting that the late-night host’s ‘career peaked with busty girls on trampolines.’

Gutfeld then turned his attention to Colbert, pointing out that his supposed ‘anguish’ was rather incongruous given his multi-millionaire status. ‘You’re filthy rich and totally immune from the crap you push on everyone else,’ Gutfeld declared.

Finally, he addressed Seth Meyers’s lament about the ‘infinite time warp’ where Trump remains the center of the universe. Gutfeld scoffed, suggesting that Meyers simply needed to get over himself. ‘Hmmm, or how about you just do your dumb little comedy show and stop acting like you tried to save the world, but we were too ungrateful to listen to your brilliance,’ Gutfeld said with a smirk.

Gutfeld concluded by drawing a direct connection between the late-night hosts’ manufactured despair and the media’s constant fearmongering. He argued that the media, in its relentless pursuit of negativity, has created a climate of anxiety and hysteria, making people believe that the world is ending when, in fact, it’s just beginning.

‘Journalists really only need to give you one tip to manage stress and that’s stop paying attention to journalists,’ Gutfeld advised. He suggested that maybe, just maybe, if the late-night hosts stopped paying attention to the media’s narrative of doom and gloom, they might actually find a reason to smile again.
