Beatbot iSkim Ultra: The Solar-Powered Robotic Pool Skimmer That Does It All

Beatbot, a company known for its aquatic robots, is set to release the iSkim Ultra, a robotic pool skimmer that promises to revolutionize pool maintenance. The iSkim Ultra boasts an impressive array of features designed to keep your pool crystal clear throughout the summer.

As its name suggests, the iSkim Ultra is a robotic skimmer that effectively removes leaves, seeds, flowers, grass, pollen, and other debris from the water’s surface. Beatbot claims that the iSkim Ultra can filter debris as small as 380 micrometers, making it incredibly efficient at capturing even the tiniest particles.

Beyond skimming, the iSkim Ultra utilizes Beatbot’s ClearWater Clarification System to enhance the overall quality of your pool water. This system involves dispensing an eco-friendly clarifier as the robot traverses the pool, helping to remove dirt, oils, and other residues that contribute to scum buildup. The iSkim Ultra’s 300mL reservoir can handle up to 99,000 gallons of water.

The iSkim Ultra is equipped with a robust 265mm roller brush to efficiently handle debris, along with dual side brushes that draw water toward the main roller. A 9-liter filter ensures that no debris escapes back into the pool. To navigate the pool effectively, the robot employs seven motors, 20 sensors, and obstacle-avoidance capabilities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the water’s surface.

One of the most notable features of the iSkim Ultra is its integrated 24W solar panel paired with a 10,000mAh battery, enabling the robot to operate day or night. The kit includes a wireless charger, providing a full charge in just five hours for those times when sunlight isn’t sufficient. Beatbot claims the iSkim Ultra offers continuous runtime with sunlight or approximately 24 hours without it.

The iSkim Ultra is designed for automated operation, but users can also take remote control via a mobile app. This feature allows for manual intervention to scoop up particularly evasive debris.

The Beatbot iSkim Ultra is priced at $1,499 and is currently available for preorder. A limited number of units are available for the early-bird price of $999, but supplies are dwindling. An official release date has not yet been announced.
