Chinese National Arrested After Stabbing Attack on Children in Zurich

A terrifying incident unfolded in Zurich, Switzerland on Tuesday, when a man attacked three young boys outside a daycare center with a blade. The attack occurred around midday on Berninastrasse, a quiet residential street in the Oerlikon district. Thankfully, a daycare worker was present and swiftly reacted to the situation. Along with the help of a passerby, she managed to overpower the attacker and hold him until the police arrived.

The three children, all five years old, sustained injuries from the attack. One boy was seriously wounded, while the other two were moderately injured. Paramedics provided immediate first aid to the children before transporting them to the hospital.

The suspect, a 23-year-old Chinese national, was promptly arrested and taken into police custody. Forensic specialists are investigating the scene, and police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
