Just yesterday, Dua Lipa schlepped her Hermès Birkin through the JFK Airport—a rite of passage for any weary traveler. Fresh off the plane, the singer has taken the literal weight off of her shoulders by swapping out for a smaller purse.
Dua subbed her black Birkin in for a silver metallic bag, a long metallic bag with a chain shoulder strap. However, she chose to slip her hand through the iconic horsebit embellishment, carrying it as a clutch instead. The purse proved to be one of the bolder pieces of Dua’s look.
The “Illusion” singer kept the rest of her outfit on the neutral side. She wore a gray ribbed tank top and a darker gray maxi skirt with a thigh high slit, revealing a pair of sheer black tights. She paired this with knee-high black leather Bottega Veneta boots.
Dua bundled up with an open denim jacket with an asymmetrical lapel and contrast stitching. Playing up her statement bag, Lipa added some lively accessories to her grayscale look. She wore a pair of black rectangular sunglasses with blue lenses and a series of silver earrings, including one large hoop that held several smaller ones.
The outfit seems like an off-duty approach to her leather- and hardware-heavy stage wardrobe. But with her denim jacket, maxi skirt, and ‘It’ bag, Dua Lipa declares that she can pay homage to her new album without having to wear bondage gear and bodycon leather every day.
