Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his support for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a more capable candidate for Prime Minister than current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Siddaramaiah made these remarks during a Prajadhwani-2 Lok Sabha election campaign meeting in Tumkur, where he was present to support party candidate Muddhanumegowda. “He [Rahul] is hundred times more capable than Narendra Modi,” Siddaramaiah stated, adding that India has numerous individuals who possess the qualifications to serve as Prime Minister. Today marks the last day of campaigning for 14 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, which will go to polls in the first phase on April 26th. Polling will take place in Hassan, Mandya, Kolar, Udupi-Chikmagalur, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, and Chikkballapur. In an effort to promote voting, the Mysuru district administration has decided to close tourist attractions such as the Mysuru zoo and Karanji lake on April 26th. Bengaluru city’s weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies in the morning, which will gradually transition to clear skies in the evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 37 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively. The Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bengaluru will also be closed on April 26th due to the Lok Sabha elections.
