Get ready for a nostalgic treat that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! Nestlé has joined forces with their sister brand Rowntree’s to bring us the Milkybar Jelly and Ice Cream sharing bag. The chocolate giant announced that they were ‘bringing back memories of sunny desserts from years gone by.’ This new creation combines the smooth and creamy white chocolate flavour of Milkybar with the fruity-flavoured jelly sweets from Rowntree’s.
Milkybar brand manager, Lucy Fawcett, shared her excitement about the new product: ‘We’re excited to share our latest ice cream-inspired sharing bag with the UK and Ireland this week and can’t wait to hear what our confectionery fans make of it. ‘We loved the idea of jelly and ice cream as a flavour inspiration. It brings back memories of carefree summer days, sitting around the table with friends and family.’
The announcement has already generated excitement among sweet fans. A post in the Facebook group NewFoodsUK was filled with comments expressing enthusiasm for the new treat. Rheanne Tizard tagged a loved one with the comment ‘these sound good!’, while Amanda Beverly told a pal ‘look at these beauties.’ Stacey Louise Quirk called them ‘a me mix’ and Lucian Harris-Antwis declared ‘these could be a game changer.’
However, as with any new product, not everyone was immediately sold on the latest concoction. Lindsey Fuller expressed uncertainty with a simple ‘not sure about that,’ while Paul Backen shared his personal experience, stating he ‘wasn’t impressed with them.’
Milkybar Jelly & Ice Cream will join other ice cream-inspired flavours, such as Aero Melts Neapolitan, Munchies Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Raspberry Ripple Milkybar Buttons, and Ice Cream shaped Rowntree’s Randoms Foamies. This vegetarian-friendly treat is now available for purchase at all supermarkets at a recommended retail price of £1.35 per bag.
