PlayStation has revealed its PlayStation Plus catalog for July, and it’s one of the most packed lineups we’ve seen in a while. It’s not only a great mix of genres, including VR, but it features some well-known franchises as well as indie titles. All these games are coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members on July 16th. Arguably, the two largest additions are ‘Remnant 2’ and ‘Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion.’ ‘Remnant 2’ is a third-person Soulslike shooter with procedurally generated areas and quests. It’s a direct sequel to the popular ‘Remnant: From the Ashes,’ offering more of its unique blend of gameplay elements. However, it’s important to note that this is the standard edition, so players won’t have access to the ‘The Awakened King’ DLC. ‘Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion’ is an HD remaster of the 2007 prequel to ‘Final Fantasy VII.’ It stars Zack Fair, a minor character in the original game, known for his Buster Sword and connection to Cloud Strife. The game offers a chance to dive deeper into the world of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ before the upcoming third installment of the remake. It’s also a great way to understand the events of the ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake.’ Beyond these two big titles, the Extra tier features an array of other games, including ‘The Jackbox Party Pack 9,’ and two ‘No More Heroes’ titles. The PS Plus Premium tier includes all the Extra tier games, plus a PSVR2 title from Owlchemy Labs and several classic retro titles, such as ‘Summoner’ from the PlayStation 2 and ‘Ratchet and Clank Size Matters’ from the PlayStation Portable.
