PhotoVogue Festival Echoes Unveils ‘Digital Skins’ by Alexander Lohn

PhotoVogue Festival Echoes, a series dedicated to artists who participated in the 2023 PhotoVogue Festival in Milan, features Alexander Lohn’s ‘Digital Skins.’ This project explores the intersection of physical and digital identities in the digital age, especially among Millennials and Gen Z. Lohn’s diptychs juxtapose classic photographic portraits with algorithmic grids of social media images, highlighting the interconnectedness of our online and offline identities. Through this, he investigates the impact of technology on self-perception and the multidimensionality of identity beyond the material world.
