Proxy Properties LLC is revamping a dilapidated ice house and surrounding warehouses on Clarendon Drive into East Dock, a 62,000-square-foot mixed-use development. The project will feature retail, industrial, and public spaces, with a focus on businesses such as yoga studios, art studios, and a creekside restaurant. Proxy Properties aims to create a historic and industrial design aesthetic while maintaining affordability. The redevelopment will capitalize on the proximity to the Dallas Zoo and the absence of renovated retail options in the area.

The Kansas City Current, in partnership with Palmer Square Capital Management, Marquee Development, and the Port Authority of Kansas City, has unveiled plans for a transformative next phase in the development of Berkley Riverfront Park. This ambitious project aims to connect Kansas Citians with the Missouri Riverfront and enhance the city’s vibrant waterfront district.

Building on the success of CPKC Stadium, the first purpose-built women’s professional sports stadium globally, the new development will create a mixed-use district anchored by the stadium, Berkley Riverfront Park, and the Missouri Riverfront. With over $200 million in private funding, the project will add hundreds of multi-family residential units, public gathering spaces, a riverfront promenade, and recreational areas designed for all Kansas Citians.

The development is expected to break ground in late 2024 and aims for completion by 2026. It will extend Kansas City’s urban fabric to the water’s edge, creating a pedestrian-friendly haven for residents, fans, and visitors.

The Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale, Illinois, a popular shopping destination for over four decades, has officially closed its doors. The Arlington Heights Village Board has approved another six-month extension for the Arlington 425 project, marking the second extension granted to the developers. Despite facing a May 3 deadline, Norwood Builders requested additional time due to delays in submitting documentation and uploading large files to the village’s online portal. The $150 million development, planned for downtown Arlington Heights, includes three phases and has been in the works for five years.
