78 Trains Cancelled, 36 Rerouted Due to Third-Line Construction on Kazipet-Balharshah Section

The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the cancellation of 78 trains and rerouting of 36 others due to ongoing third-line construction between Kazipet and Balharshah sections. The cancellations and diversions, which will remain in effect until July 7, are attributed to preparatory and commissioning works for the third line between Asifabad and Rechni stations in the Secunderabad division.

Mega Block on Central Railway: 930 Local Trains Canceled, Long-Distance Services Impacted

Central Railway will implement a massive 63-hour mega block from May 30 midnight for platform extension and widening projects at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Thane station. As a result, 930 local train services will be canceled, affecting travel plans for commuters. Long-distance trains will also be impacted, with several being short-terminated or short-originated. The railway authorities have appealed to commuters to avoid traveling by local trains during this period. Extra buses will be operated by BEST and MSRTC to assist passengers with alternative transportation options.
