US Urges Citizens to Leave Lebanon Amid Growing Tensions with Israel

The United States has issued an urgent advisory for its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country or prepare for an extended stay amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Following the assassination of Hezbollah’s military chief and the subsequent threat of retaliation from Iran, the US Embassy in Beirut is urging citizens to book any available flights and prepare contingency plans for potential conflict.

Dual Citizens in Ukraine Face Exit Restrictions, Embassy Warns

Effective June 1st, Ukraine has revoked the exemption allowing dual citizens to leave the country during martial law. All military-age men, 18-60, are now prohibited from departing, despite holding US passports. The US Embassy strongly advises against travel to Ukraine for male US citizens holding Ukrainian citizenship or claiming citizenship. The Embassy emphasizes that the Ukrainian government does not recognize dual citizenship, and thus dual citizens are solely treated as Ukrainian citizens within the country’s borders.
