In a strongly worded letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has taken the Prime Minister to task for his recent ‘mujra’ remark, accusing him of making numerous baseless and false claims during the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaign. Yadav expressed concern about the Prime Minister’s use of such derogatory language, questioning whether it befits the dignity of his office.
In a stinging critique, Yadav asserted, “Should the language of the Prime Minister of this big-hearted country be like this? You think and decide.” He pointed out that the Prime Minister’s attack on the INDIA bloc, which includes several opposition parties, was not only baseless but also unbecoming of his position.
Yadav also accused Modi of harboring a backward and anti-Dalit mentality. He highlighted the Bihar government’s efforts to conduct a caste survey and increase the scope of reservations to 75%, but noted that the Prime Minister had not given due consideration to these requests.
Furthermore, Yadav expressed concern about the Prime Minister’s alleged attempts to undermine reservations by abolishing government jobs in various sectors. He emphasized the need for reservations in the private sector to ensure the constitutional rights of the Bahujan population, Dalits, and other deprived groups.
Yadav’s letter also included a list of Muslim castes included in the OBC category in Gujarat, highlighting the Prime Minister’s lack of knowledge and attention to the fact that Muslim communities also benefit from reservations in certain states. He urged Modi to avoid spreading confusion and hatred and to demonstrate his commitment to the principles of social justice and equality.
The RJD leader’s letter has sparked a political storm, with many opposition leaders echoing his sentiments and criticizing the Prime Minister’s remarks and policies. It remains to be seen how Modi will respond to these allegations and whether he will address the concerns raised by Yadav and other opposition figures.
