Travelex Expands Travelex Money Card Currency Offering to Include 7 Asian Currencies

Travelex, a leading foreign exchange brand, has expanded its pre-paid currency card, the Travelex Money Card (TMC), to include seven additional Asian currencies. Customers can now upload and spend Norwegian Krone, Danish Krone, Icelandic Krona, Hungarian Forint, Thai Baht, Hong Kong Dollar, and Singapore Dollar on their TMC, bringing the total number of currencies available on the card to 22.

The addition of these currencies is a response to the growing demand for Asian currencies as travel across Asia continues to rebound post-pandemic. Travelex remains committed to expanding its TMC currency range, particularly across Europe. The launch of these new currencies is another milestone in Travelex’s digital transformation journey. The company has been increasing investment in and development of its digital infrastructure and products, as evidenced by the introduction of an industry-first automated, self-service digital kiosk at London Heathrow last year, followed by the launch of the retail foreign exchange industry’s first ever ATM click-and-collect product. Travelex has also been investing in new digital, self-serve concept stores across its international portfolio, along with upgrades to its backend and cloud digital infrastructure.

Simon Jackson, Chief Customer Officer of Travelex, stated that as the only global provider with both cash and card offerings, their proposition empowers consumers with the ‘best of both,’ offering travel money solutions that meet all needs. With the TMC expanding its currency offering, Travelex is proud to provide customers with convenience, flexibility, and security when spending money abroad in more countries than ever before.
