Vallejo Roommates’ Dispute Leads to Gunfire, Suspect Arrested

A domestic dispute between roommates in Vallejo escalated into a shooting incident on April 20.

One of the roommates alerted authorities via 911 that the other roommate had fired a gun inside their residence on Tennessee Street. No injuries resulted from the gunfire, and officers located the suspected shooter outside.

‘Through the use of de-escalation techniques, they were able to apprehend him without any further violence,’ the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) stated.

The arrested man admitted to firing his gun, according to VPD. ‘He explained that he was suffering from alcohol withdrawal and he was upset. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Solano County Jail,’ police said.

VPD withheld the identity of the arrested individual. The police department emphasized that support is available for individuals struggling with mental health, drug, or alcohol-related issues. Individuals can locate treatment facilities or providers at FindTreatment.gov.
