Selena Gomez Expresses Gratitude for Reaching Billionaire Status

Selena Gomez has expressed her gratitude for becoming one of the youngest self-made billionaires. During a recent interview at the New York Film Festival for her upcoming film ‘Emilia Pérez,’ Gomez shared her feelings about reaching this milestone. “I’m very grateful. I personally don’t like to talk about money, but it’s all thanks to everyone who bought our products,” she stated, emphasizing the role of her fans in her success. “Every single person who purchased something made my dreams come true. So, I feel truly honored and just incredibly happy.”

Bloomberg, a financial news agency, reported last month that Gomez’s estimated net worth has reached $1.3 billion, placing her among the world’s youngest self-made billionaires. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, her wealth stems from various sources, including sponsorship deals, concert tours, her mental health startup Wondermind, albums, acting roles, real estate, and most significantly, her cosmetics brand Rare Beauty, launched in 2020.

Gomez’s entrepreneurial success extends beyond business ventures. She has also established the Rare Impact Fund, a charity organization that receives 1% of Rare Beauty’s sales. The fund has been dedicated to supporting mental health initiatives since its inception, impacting over 740,000 young individuals and providing assistance to educators, administrators, and educational systems. In a previous interview with Time magazine, Gomez shared her perspective on her wealth: “It feels weird to focus on the numbers. I feel like I’m going to lose sight of what makes Rare Beauty, Rare Beauty. It wasn’t about making money. That’s it.”

Gomez’s journey to billionaire status is a testament to her talent, hard work, and dedication to both her career and her passion for supporting mental health awareness.
