Apple’s iPhone Sales Reach $1.95 Trillion Milestone

In the first three months of 2024, Apple experienced a slight decline in iPhone sales, shipping 50.1 million units and generating $45.9 billion in revenue. This represented a decrease of five million units and almost 10% in revenue compared to the same period the previous year. However, despite this quarterly dip, Apple’s lifetime iPhone sales have reached a remarkable $1.95 trillion, highlighting the continued strength of the iPhone business.

Since the launch of the first iPhone in 2007, Apple has sold over 2.65 billion units, generating significant revenue growth along the way. In the five years following the initial release, Apple earned $78.7 billion from iPhone sales, which jumped to $101.9 billion in FY 2014. Over the past two years, Apple has grossed more than $405 billion from iPhone sales, with revenue figures declining slightly in the second quarter of FY 2024.

Despite the slight decline in Q1, iPhone sales remain robust, with Apple grossing $115.6 billion in the first half of FY 2024. This surge in lifetime revenue to $1.95 trillion underscores the enduring popularity and profitability of the iPhone. Apple’s continued success in the smartphone market is a testament to the company’s innovation, design, and strong brand recognition.
